Volunteers,
Both trips on the DD yesterday were cancelled due to maintenance. I have a correction to make on my report last Tuesday (4/24) about the  whale count from shore. Michael Smith and his amazing crew of counters are known as their own non-profit 501now. They share their data with multiple whale research agencies, including NOAA's SW Fisheries Science Center. They count from what is noe"Counter Point" , at the Coal Oil Point Reserve overlooking the western reaches of the Campus Point MPA in Goleta.  Paul
