[CINC] Great trip to SCI

On the way to Scorpion today, Larry Driscoll and I were on the boat and got to see three gray whales heading west. Lots of flukes and great viewing. Earlier we had encountered a couple hundred common dolphins.

Larry took the hike and I got to watch and record the raising of the recreated historic windmill. Volunteer and engineer extraordinaire Don Mills, created the designs and plans. The crew did an exemplary job of raising the tower/windmill into place. Stacy Kaye-Carr was on island to film the process and Ann Huston, Chief of Cultural History was here as well. The team of Sterling, Rachel, Duck and Murray were amazing. And, a fox came by to visit us while we were appreciating the beauty of the new structure reminding us of the rich ranching
history out here.

Thanks to Island crew Capt. Dave, Luke and Paige for making the ride safe and fun.
