[CINC] Whale watching IP Oxnard

Hi Naturalists,

It was a wild ride (6-8 ft. swells) out in the water today during the whole trip . Captain Jason expertly took the Vanguard mid-Channel, where we found a lone Gray. This whale was heading north, traveling slowly, giving us some great sightings of the knuckles along its dorsal ridge. The 21 California passengers onboard were elated, as they finally got to see the massive giant. Crew members Pancho and DeDe where great support for some nauseous passengers. On our way back to the harbor, we came across a small pod of Common Dolphins, to everyone's delight. The PM trip was cancelled primarily because of high winds.
