A beautiful day on the water.
On the morning and noon trips there were megapods of feeding common dolphins with lots of diving birds. We also saw two gray whales - the same ones on both trips. (Some of you may have seen one of them on other trips. There is a very noticeable round white spot on his upper back on his left side. SI saw him about a week ago on a trip to Scorpion.)
Both trips were quite full. The AM trip had a group of biology students from SBHS and the noon trip consisted mainly of a group of senior citizens who were thrilled to see the dolphins and whales.
The PM trip was cancelled.
Other naturalists on the trip were Carolyn on PID and Marty. Capt. Matt, Dave and Matt handled the boat.
