The Count...
Approx. 250 common dolphins in a rather spread out pod
1 super shy Hump
1 very freindly Hump
4 or 5 coastal bottlenose.
Of course, the second Humpback sighting was the highlight. With a heads-up from the Ranger 85, Cpt. Dave put the Condor on top of a curious humpy who kept the guests (about 42) running from one side of the Condor to the other. Lots of very close encounters, a couple of rolling behaviors and sort of spy hops pleased all aboard. There were at least 2 other humpies in the vicinity, and at a distance.
Light to moderate seas, rolling fog in places, cool and with light winds.
A good tour thanks to Capt. Dave, Denis and Matt. Debbie Shelley was aboard as Naturalist and I got one (mediocre) PID shot of the first, shy humpy. The friendly humpy was always too close and never did show flukes!
