11 humpback whales
Most of the passenger's were student's from SBCC marine biology. We headed out to find the 2 humpbacks we had seen on the noon trip. We encountered heavy fog and cold temps. the Condor crew never gave up hope and finally at about 3:30 the miracle came, not really a miracle, but just the great crew of the Condor. Thanks to the eagle eye of Captain Dave we came upon a pod of 5 humpbacks, then 3 behind us and an 2 more out in the distance. It was a great show. What's the deal with the humpie's come back so soon. I guess the missed us as much as we missed them! We all were a bit cold but everyone on board was very happy. There were humpbacks spouting in the distance we did not have time to see. Another great (cold) day in paradise. A big huge thanks to the crew for never giving up! Thanks Captain Dave, Dennis and Matt. Rae and Debbie Shelley.
