1st trip
100 common dolphin
6 risso dolphin
3 gray whales

Boat was full. First part of trip was some heavy fog. About a mile from the gap we had clear skies and spotted our first 2 whales. It appeared that there were mating. They were rolling over each other. Then they sped off at about 5 miles an hour. Guess they wanted to be alone. We traveled the back side of Anacapa and spotted a very friendly whale that gave us some great fluke shots. All aboard were very pleased.

2nd trip
20 risso dolphin
2 gray whales

Another full boat. Spotted the Risso's. They gave us a good show. Towards the end of the trip we saw 2 spouts and tried to watch the whales, 1 sort of disappeared and the other one just started to snorkel. We watch it for awhile and had to head home inthe thick fog. Some teens were worried that the captain was lost because he was blowing the horn. After explaining why the horn was used and that the captain had radar they seem happy that we were not lost. Thanks to the great crew Pepe, Steve and Captain Anthony Debbie Shelley
