7 gray whales

It was a beautiful day out on the water today.  We had a little fog which cleared up right away.  Spotted our first whale at about 10:30.  Once we slowed down it just started circling around and snorkeling.  I wonder if these whales are maybe resting when this happens.  We then had a great show of 3 grays.  They only stayed down about 2 minutes and showed there tail flukes on each dive.  The dolphins did not appear on this trip, but everyone aboard was pleased with the whales and the great views of Santa Cruz Island.  Thanks for the great narration from Captain Dave, the great food from Matt and Dennis, and as always the great photos from Bob.   Another day in paradise.  Debbie Shelley
