[Barbara Hilburn]

Naturalists  Barbara Hilburn and Marty Flam (VC) reporting on E. Santa Cruz.  

One guided hike for a group of 28.  Four separate sightings of foxes in the afternoon in the upper campground and area around the ranchhouse.  
Other reported sightings on the hillsides.

People on Cavern Pt. saw a gray whale from land.

From boat, we had two views of grays.  One breached twice to the delight of people from the US.  Two bottlenose dolphins in Ventura Harbor.

We had 3 junior rangers who completed their packets and were sworn in.  One was only two.

A smooth ride despite large swells returning on the Adventure with Capt. Jimmy, Steve S., Laurie, and Andrea.
