4 GRAY WHALES
1200 COMMON DOLPHINS


36 passengers got treated to a clear, sunny day and relatively calm seas.
The close-up show of hundreds of California Brown Pelicans dive
bombing into a gigantic bait ball (probably anchovy) was spectacular, as
was the sighting of so many busy and active common dolphins sharing the
feast.  We concentrated on a tight pod of 4 Gray Whales, although we
spotted 2-3 others in the distance.

Great crew, with Captain Dave, Dennis, Mat.  Debbie Shelley was Naturalist
and I did PID.
