Sunday June 24th - Island Adventure

1 - Fin Whale
2 - Blue Whales
1500 - Common Dolphin
1-Mola Mola
1- Osprey

It was rough water in the Channel, so Capt Jimmy took us to the south side
of Anacapa Island where we spotted the Fin whale and the Mola Mola
(sunfish).  Heading up the backside of Santa Cruz Island we encountered the
large pod of Common Dolphins.  They were swimming East - pushing their prey
toward Anacapa Is.
We circumnavigated SCI and when back into the windy channel, with the help
of Condor Express we located 2 blue whales; deep diving with 12-14 minute
intervals.  A trip to the Painted Cave and a camper pickup at Prisoners
Harbor allowed us to get a great view with lots of discussion about the
island.

The Osprey was seen off the West end of Santa Cruz Island.
