[CINC] Anacapa trip 3/16

Friday trip to Anacapa 
8 hikers: locals and from New Jersey and Washington DC, others who landed with us were future marine biologists from CSUCI
 and kayakers from a high school in Chicago (this group does an annual camping trip to ESCI but had to change plans because of the weather)foggy & flat seas, not a hint of the weather we have today.  lots
 of cormorants and 300 common dolphins were all we saw in the channel, 
everyone else must have left because of the storm.  sea lions at all the 
haul outs, pinniped point, cathedral cove...but not behind the archcoreopsis is blooming and 
seagulls mating and the sun came out for a while!birds on the island included pelicans and gulls, sparrows, wrens and hummingbirds.all around the visitor center lizards are doing their thing among new little seedlings each with a personal fog catcher.No trips to Anacapa on Saturday because of the rain, all campers have gone home.
