In another beautiful day on the channel, visitors were able to take in, not only this beautiful day, but a fine presentation of Grays on their way to Alaska.

In both the morning and afternoon runs, we saw the Grays on a solid run north. Yet they were generous with tail flukes and shallow diving, giving the folks much opportunity for siting and photo ops, with every kind of photographic device available.

In each case, Captain Anthony was able to swing around behind and cruise on both sides of them, affording the folks good opportunity for viewing.

On a couple of occasions in the afternoon run the Grays came up together, in fours and then as all six, blowing almost in unison, a most spectacular sight indeed. Many a cheer and ooos and ahs were voiced at the synchronized swimming of this group.

The morning run had a school class of first graders from Valencia, their parents and teaches, plus some other folks from Germany and England with a few locals.

The afternoon run were all folks from all over, England, France, Thailand, among many locals, of Ventura, Camarillo, Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley.

Captain Anthony and Crew of Jean and Andrea did their usual great job of narrating and keeping the folks fed and happy.

Sally Narkevic was my sidekick Naturalist moving among and chatting it up with the folks with her constant smile.
