9AM TRIP: 36 passengers were treated nada and zilch, followed by a large
group of nil...despite heroic efforts by Capt. Dave.
12 NOON TRIP: 2 Gray Whales, 12 Pacific White Sided Dolphins, 1 Bottlenose
Dolphin.
Here's an unusual sighting. The Pacific White Sided Dolphins were mixed in
with the two Gray Whales. The Gray Whales, perhaps 25' juveniles, lingered
on the surface for a long period of time, constantly rolling around. They
were heavily encrusted with barnacles and whale lice. The Dolphins hung
around them for about 40 minutes.
Crew consisted of Capt. Dave, Dennis and Matt. On the noon trip, I was
joined by Ken McDonald and Vivi Teston, along with 53 passengers.
ENJOYING LIFE,
Hal Altman, PID
