Yesterday's trip to Scorpion on the Adventure had about 52 passengers, of whom about 28 were day visitors.

Since the tide was at dead low, visitors were ferried to the beach by skiff.  At the end of the day one of the rubber bumpers on the dock appeared to have come loose and Cpt. Jason was concerned that it might be sucked into the prop, so boarding on the way home was also by skiff from the beach.  Luke and Pancho did a fantastic job of getting people in and out of the skiffs both times amidst challenging conditions.

There were about 14 people on the hike.  When we ended at the midden above cathedral cove, one of the visitors spied a small olivella shell bead with a hole in its center!  This was passed around to the group and then left in place for the next lucky set of hikers to find.  The hikers asked good questions and several stopped by the visitor center where Joanna Guttman was also available to help them.
