Sunny, clear, warm, and flat seas with incredible water visibility of 40’
+/-  

3  ½ mi off Hendry’s Beach we saw Rope and 2 companions (3 Humpbacks) – the
same that have been seen for the past several weeks

Great looks in super clear water and close looks; you could see the whales
30-40-50 feet below and watch them heading to the surface 

Then a large pod (500) of fast moving Long-beaked dolphins with several
little ones

An egg yolk jelly

Sea lions here and there through-out the channel

Then a treat – a pod of 700 Short-beaked common dolphins – they were on cue
in that they were more energetic with jumps, twists and acrobatics

Then we headed out to SCI and cruised along the island, saw the cave and
returned to port with happy campers from many states, European nations, and
So Cal folks

The usual birds + A pomarine jaeger flew across bow as we were headed home
