October 23, 2012, marks the 40th anniversary of the National Marine
Sanctuary System!  One step toward commemorating this milestone is the
launch of a website highlighting our Top 40 Accomplishments:
http://sanctuaries.noaa.gov/news/top40/welcome.html.  Starting August 27,
and each working day, we are moving through time – from past to present –
and highlight another great achievement until we reach Accomplishment #1 on
Tuesday, October 23rd.  Each posting will include complementary stories,
and point readers to places where they can learn more and take action to
further marine conservation.
