Dear Seminar attendees -
CCBER's Conservation and Restoration Ecology Seminar Series will
focus on Marine and Wildlife Resource monitoring and restoration on
the Channel Islands. Seminars are Monday evenings 6-7pm in Harder
Stadium South Rm 1013. You are welcome to attend.
April 8th – Peter Sharpe (IWS) Bald Eagle and Peregrine Falcon
Restoration on the Channel Islands
April 15th – David Kushner (CINPS)- Channel Islands National Park,
Kelp Forest Monitoring Program, 30 years of monitoring and what does
it all mean?
April 22nd – Christina Boser (TNC) – Picnic is Over – Argentine Ants
and the Channel Islands
April 29th – Steve Whitaker (CINPS) Rocky Intertidal Monitoring on
the Channel Islands with a special focus on rockweed restoration
May 6th – Annie Little (USFWS) – Feral Cat Removal on San Nicolas
Island and the 10th anniversary of rat eradication on Anacapa Island
May 13th – Tim Coonan (CINPS) – Island Fox Recovery on the Channel
Islands
May 20th – Mark Lowry (NOAA) – Pinneped Monitoring on the Channel
Islands
May 27th – Holiday
June 3rd – Jono Wilson (UCSB) – Marine Protected Areas as
Conservation and Management Tools.
