[CINC] Vanguard 4/12/13

AM: small pod of Common Dolphins
       no whales

PM: 300 Common Dolphins
       3 Humpback whales, including a cow/calf pair

Overcast skies all AM trip.  We had 2 groups of 3rd graders, one of which had 
been studying cetaceans for 2 months.  It was particularly disappointing for 
them that we didn't find the whales.  They could identify all the parts on the 
whale models.   Sunny for the afternoon trip & all enjoyed the Humpbacks.  Larry 
Driscoll was the friendly fellow naturalist.
