[CINC] Ranger 85 Channel Islands Whale Watching

AM Trip




Two pods of common dolphins:


First sighting was of approximately 100 dolphins


and the second sighting being around 2000!


No whales sightings.




Seventy-two guests on the AM trip, mostly from Southern California.  Others from Colorado, and  one guest from South Africa.   Captain Alex showed the crowd a California seal lion "show" on the boat buoy by platform Gina that was enjoyed by one and all.  On the south side of Anacapa we were treated to a gentle south swell and good views of seal lions on the shore.
