[CINC] El Capitan-8/3

Dear Colleagues, 
 Tara Brown and Ken Tatro did an outstanding job last night in presenting the Marine Mammals of Our CINMS and CINP at  El Capitan State Beach before a record attendance of 163 ( census by Ken  ). Your's truly had to bail out due to surgery on a knee Friday. This is the second presentation the gang has done when I had to follow doctors orders to stay off my feet. They did Carpinteria State Beach last Saturday eve as well, with Shirley Johnson helping. Tara and Ken confirm that the crowd again was to a vast degree all Californians, and 50% kids, inc a couple youth groups.
 Also, thank you as well El Capitan Rangers and Camp Hosts for helping make this summer cooperative outreach such a huge cooperative success: We averaged 125 in attendance for over the 4 virtual whale watch programs! All Rangers were extremely helpful at every set-up. Your Camp Hosts should be complimented to the extreme for attendance themselves, as well as helping post and pass out flyers!  Lets keep it up for the sake of our oceans and all who rely on them.   Sincerely, Paul Petrich
