[CINC] IPCO Whale Watching

Capt. Lee ventured out in heavy fog but calm seas on an extended trip all the way to
San Miguel Island, where we were treated to a rarely seen view of the Elephant Seal Colony
at Cuyler Harbor and close sights of the island.  Many sea lions mingled with the seals,
one even perched on the back of a bull Seal !  (I have a picture to prove it for anyone interested)
Huge playful pods of common dolphins, two separate sightings of Risso's dolphins and spectacular
 views of fishing Pelicans, shearwaters, cormorants and a Minke whale on the way back to Ventura
completed a happy trip for all.  Marilyn Dannehower and I used the opportunity to try out the 
new Spotter App on our iPhones, so she is the official first user of this wonderful sighting tool !
(I'm working on it !)  
Cheers to Captain Lee  for an incredible trip into Painted Cave that wowed everyone on the boat,
as well as the opportunity for a look at San Miguel Island and to Dani, & Eric  for expert commentary
and service.
