3000 common dolphins


9 blue whales




Dick Bellman and I joined Captain Matt and crew on an outstanding trip.   Some 43 visitors came from as far away as Wales, (no jokes please), Italy, Germany and England.  Plenty of locals and guests from Ohio and New York as well.


Two hours out from Santa Barbara we were treated to over one hour of intense humpback, dolphin and bird activity in a massive feeding that seemed to have no end.  Guests were delighted and the cameras did not stop the entire time.  One juvenile put on an intense fluke slapping show that lasted several minutes.


We proceeded toward the East end of Santa Cruz and saw several single and pairs of blues which was a pure delight.
