 Thiswas my certification trip and it could not have been better!  It was a beautiful day with an amazing groupof passengers on both trips.  They werevery enthusiastic and engaging.
 0930:  36 passengers, calm seas unlimited visibility
3 gray whales spotted near the rig line (between platforms Gina and Gail)
1Fin and 1 Minke on the backside of Anacapa
250Common Dolphins.
Alsoseen:  Female Steller sea lion on the VenturaHarbor channel marker (R2V).
2Scripp’s murrelets and 1 Pigeon Guillemot in addition to California brown pelicansand western gulls 
1330:  35 passengers, 5-10 knots, 2 to 3’swell, unlimited visibility
3gray whales spotted between platform Gina and Anacapa
1fin whale and 1 Minke on the backside of Anacapa in 2400 feet of water (PerCapt. Lee the deeper water is where the fins are most likely to be found)
200Common Dolphins
