The Condor and its Captain Scott, Express's Captain Dave and Crew Member Mike made two trips today. I was on the 0300 trip and was the only Naturalist. Exciting for me as I am one of the newest members to the Corp. Class of 2013.
There were about 50 people on board. Folks form Great Britain, Japan,Germany and several visitors from the mid west as well. This made for very interesting group. Many children hoping to see dolphins were disappointed when they were no where to be found. The Grays however were in abundance this afternoon. We came across a few lone travelers and then two groups. One consisting of 3-4 Grays the other 2-3. We were treated to a few breaches from one of our final sightings right outside the harbor heading in for the day. Captain Dave gave the little girls from Germany, sad from the lack of dolphins, vouchers to come back tomorrow. I told them I would also be back tomorrow and looked forward to seeing them again.
