[CINC] Coastal Clean up HELP!

Hey All,

I have been a Coastal Clean Up Captain at Emma Wood Group Campsite for many
years, and I will be unable to do it this year. My son started his 1st year
at Villanova University in Pennsylvania this fall, and Parents Weekend is
the same weekend :0(

I was hoping someone could step in for me and be a "Capt" for a day. It's
really easy and fun!! I'm leaving Wednesday evening sooooooooooooo please
help me out!! The more the merrier-make it a NOAA party (minus the
alcohol-or at least until you are done and your shirt is changed :0)

 

Here are the logistics.

 

Where: Emma Wood Group Camping-end of Main Street in Ventura-next to the RV
Park

When: Saturday, September 21st (this weekend)

Time: 9:00am-12:00 noon

Set-up: 8:00am-I have 2 tables, and all the stuff you will need for a
successful event.

What do I do? Talk to the public about trash and how it not only affects us
here on the mainland, but also the islands and our beaches and especially
our beautiful SB Channel! Sign off kids for service hours, explain a little
why we do this every year, educate about the Marine Sanctuary and National
Park, and anything else you can think of to keep people from contributing to
the global trash issue-I focus heavily on alternatives to PLASTICS! 

Clean-up: Easy, easy- make a phone call to the event coordinator with your
stats-very easy!

 

I can drop-ff and pick-up all materials to you!!
