<DIV>Scott Cuzzo and Marty Flam went out with Capt. Jason, first mate Greg and second mate Barry on IPCO's Vanguard's 9:30 and 1:30 trips from CI Harbor Monday. First trip was sold out at close to 70 paid and afternoon was slightly less. Many Somis Home School parents and students, and Valencia's Wm. S. Hart HS kids on a rewards assembly trip joined tourists from <SPAN class=yshortcuts id=lw_1207096002_0 style="CURSOR: hand; BORDER-BOTTOM: #0066cc 1px dashed">Minnesota</SPAN>, <SPAN class=yshortcuts id=lw_1207096002_1 style="CURSOR: hand; BORDER-BOTTOM: #0066cc 1px dashed">Michigan</SPAN>, Lafeytte CA, <SPAN class=yshortcuts id=lw_1207096002_2 style="CURSOR: hand; BORDER-BOTTOM: #0066cc 1px dashed">Atlanta</SPAN> and <SPAN class=yshortcuts id=lw_1207096002_3 style="CURSOR: hand; BORDER-BOTTOM: #0066cc 1px dashed">Dallas</SPAN> mostly accompanied by local friends and relatives from throughout Ventura, <SPAN

Much joy that the blustery weather switch was turned off at 3:20 a.m. allowing the seas to calm for this glorious day. The morning trip produced at least six Grays: two pair of two adults and two individuals, mostly all in the vicinity of Platform Gail, some flukeing and blowing (twice synchronized) from about 100 yards off. We also went by Anacapa's East End Arch and enjoyed a small raft of Sea Lions. No whales were seen on the afternoon trip but one megapod of common dolphinin in 300 feet and possibly the same megapod in 800 feet feasting frenzily on a food ball along with gobs of pelicans, and a few gulls and cormorants down toward Sycamore Canyon. The guests enjoyed the California Sea Lions
lounging on and about the Port Hueneme Bouy before reaching the new CI docks just before 5 p.m.<BR> </DIV><STRONG><EM><FONT size=3>Marty Flam</FONT></EM></STRONG>
