<P>With help from Dani Lipski at the Sactuary, we recalled that Eric Kett and Bill Spicer have formed a subcomittee on this topic of buoy dicommissioning and are in the process of writing a letter of support for the continued mantenance of the buoys to the head of CINMS which is intended to be endorsed by the SAC at our next meeting on May 30th.</P>
<P>I am in the process of determining where best to send a letter, but suffice to say that sending letters to Chris Mobley, the CINMS Superintendant would be a good place to start. (Sorry Chris =) )</P>

I think the only thing we can do is write letters, and perhaps show up to the next SAC meeting (May 30th) and let the council and Sanctuary management hear your concerns.</FONT></P>

The buoys have been funded over the years by Minerals Management Service and maintained by NDBC, but there are no plans or funds to keep these buoys operational. <O:P></O:P></SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal><FONT face="Courier New" size=2><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Courier New'">This also means no future repairs will be made at either buoy. <O:P></O:P></SPAN></FONT></P>
