The Navy refused<br>to comply with those recommendations, even after two subsequent<br>court orders.<br><br>Now, the Navy is asking the Commission for an even more<br>expansive use of sonar in the area.<br><br>Please go to <b><a href="http://www.nrdconline.org/ct/ndSBOa119PYi/">http://www.nrdconline.org/ct/ndSBOa119PYi/</a></b></div></blockquote><blockquote type="cite"><div>right now and urge the California Coastal Commission to reject the<br>Navy's request, unless it commits to simple precautions that<br>will protect marine life. <b>We only have until October 14.</b><br><br>The Commission's staff has already concluded that, without<br>additional protections, the Navy's extensive use of sonar would<br>cause significant harm to California's marine mammals.
