Title |
Eagle Reintroductions to the Channel Islands |
Topics |
Dr. Peter Sharpe will present a program that will include a history of bald eagles on the California Channel Islands, including the factors that led to their decimation. Bald eagle restoration began in 1980 on Santa Catalina Island and in 2002 on Santa Cruz Island. Dr. Sharpe will discuss the efforts that have been made on both of these islands and the current status of the bald eagles on the Channel Islands. The program will include both slides and a video of the restoration efforts. |
