About the Speaker

Krista started with the Vertebrate Zoology department in 1994. She currently manages the museum's extensive avian collections and works to provide access to the data held within to researchers and naturalists around the world. As a doctoral candidate at UCSB, Krista has studied the habitat characteristics and nest preferences of central coast Snowy Plovers. In her lack of free time she enjoys birding, travel and antique natural history art.
