About the Speaker |
Jim is best known as the author of Birds of the World: A Checklist. This monumental work, now in it's fifth edition, is a compilation of the 10,000 species of birds of the world, their range, and over 20,000 subspecies. He is also the senior author of A Field Guide to the Birds of Peru, and last year finished A Field Guide to the Birds of Yap Island. A long time, dedicated birder, Jim's life list exceeds 7000.
