Act II, Scene II
- Kent and Oswald are at Gloucester's
castle
- Kent is still upset with Oswald
for his behavior towards the King so he begins to fight with him
- Oswald cries loudly
- Edmund (Has his rapier drawn),
Regan, Cornwall, Gloucester, and several servants go to Oswald's cries
- Kent is ready to fight Edmund as
well
- Cornwall orders that they not fight
and that Kent explain himself
- Kent tries to delineate Oswald
as a major loser "who wears no honesty."
- Cornwall doesn't believe Kent,
orders him to go to the stocks until noon
- Cornwall wasn't impressed with
Kent's relation to the King
- Gloucester tries to save Kent,
but the sentence is upheld
- Kent goes to the stocks and reads
a letter from Cordelia
- She is still worried about her
father
