
Act III, Scene II
- Scene starts out with Lear and
the Fool in the forest in the midst of rain, thunder and terrible winds
- Here he again denounces his "two
pernicious daughters"
- The Fool wants Lear to find shelter,
even if he has to kiss-up to his daughters
- Lear still wants to be patient
- Kent arrives
- Lear says that he is "a man
more sinned against than sinning"
- Kent persuades the King to stay
in a hovel while Kent goes back to the castle to try and make them open
up
