- Edgar says that life can only improve
- Gloucester enters, led by an old
man
- Gloucester doesn't want the old
man to help him walk
- Gloucester again prays for Edgar
- Edgar says that after these occurences,
nobody can say that they've experienced the worst
- Gloucester has lost all faith in
justice
- Edgar listens to his father saying
this
- Edgar must remain Tom o' Bedlam
- Peasant supplies clothing to Edgar
- Edgar is going to guide Gloucester
- Gloucester wishes to be led to
a cliff so that he won't require any more assistance
- Edgar says "Give me thy arm"
