Act IV, Scene VII

• Cordelia thanks Kent for bringing Lear to her
• Cordelia learns from the Doctor that Lear can be awoken with music
• Lear is brought in
• Cordelia speaks lovingly about him
• Lear regains consciousness
• He tries to bow before her, but she bows instead
• She asks for HIS blessing
• Lear asks Cordelia for her forgiveness
• Doctor advises Cordelia that her dad is okay again, but he shouldn't be reminded of his experiences
• Gentleman advises Kent that:
• Edmund is the General of Cornwall's army
• Edgar and Kent are exiles in Germany
• Kent feels that battle is imminent
