This view of Glen Nevis was taken from about the 600-foot level on the "tourist path" that goes up from the Youth Hostel, seen near the center of the panorama. The snow-capped "Munro" at the left edge of the panorama is Stob Ban; Mullach nan Coirean, to its right, is also a Munro.
The seven digital images that make up the panorama were taken in May 2002 in the "landscape" format at a resolution of 640x480 pixels. The camera was an Olympus C-3040Zoom, using a "SmartMedia" memory card with panorama capture capability. The images were assembled using Photoshop 4, rather than an automatic "stitching" program. |
