Classic Book Illustrations

The Karpeles Manuscript Library preserves one of the world's largest archives of original illustrations of classical literature.

The archive includes illustrations from a wide range of books including: Huckleberry Finn, The Christmas Carol, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Rip Van Winkle, Black Beauty, Little Lord Fauntleroy, and even the Jane Austin novel's and the Bronte novels. These illustrations will be on exhibit periodically at the various Karpeles museums.
