WHAT TYPE OF OPERATION
USED TO CLOSE THE CLEFT LIP?

A surgical repair of the cleft lip is done when the child is around three months of age. The patient usually stays in the hospital one to two days following the operation.  After the surgical procedure, the patient is allowed to continue taking liquids from the bottle.
