The Pediatric Diagnostic Center was established in November of 1989 to improve access to pediatric subspecialty care for the children of Ventura County. Approximately 15,000 patient visits occurred in FY 92-93 at our combined sites of Clinica Vista, Pediatric Diagnostic Center, and Mandalay Bay Children's Center. Approximately 8,000 (53%) of those visits are low income infants and toddlers.


The Pediatric Diagnostic Center is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Immunizations are also provided at regular pediatric visits as well as to chronically ill children seen through the subspecialty clinics. The subspecialty clinics pay particular attention to children with AIDS, cancer, chronic lung disease associated with prematurity, and other high risk conditions.


The Mandalay Bay Childrens Center provides CHDP services and pediatric pulmonary consultaion every Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The immunization policy is the same as the Pediatric Diagnostic Center.


Clinica Vista is open Monday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This clinic provides comprehensive CHDP visits for the children of Ventura, Camarillo, and Thousand Oaks.
