Blanchard Community Library Holidays 2009

The library will be closed in observance of the following holidays:

Library Cards

Patrons 18 and Above:

You must show identification and verification of your current mailing address when you register for a library card. Acceptable forms of address verification include:
  • California Drivers License / Identification with current address
  • Bank check with Name and address imprinted
  • Current Utility Bill
  • Current Post Office Box Receipt
  • Piece of mail, postmarked within the last week
Juvenile Patrons 17 and under:

You must show verification of your current mailing address. Parent/Guardian's signature is required, which hold them responsible for all materials checked out with your library card.

To All Patrons:

It is your responsibility to notify the library immediately if you have a change of name or address; there is no charge for recording the new information, and you will continue to use the same library card. If your library card is lost, please notify the library immediately so that we can prevent possible unauthorized use and protect your records. There is a processing fee for replacement of lost, stolen, or damaged library cards.
($1.00 the first time and $5.00 for each card lost thereafter).

Overdue Charges are Per Item-Per Day

      Regular 20¢ Per Day
      Paper/Mag. 20¢ Per Day
      Reference 20¢ Per Day

      Books 3 weeks
      Audios 3 weeks
      Encyclopedias 1 week
      Videos 1 week
      CDs 1 week
      Magazines 1 week

RENEWALS - 1 time only

Most books may be renewed by phone during the open hours listed above.

You may return your library materials in the Book-slot located inside the library or in the Book-drop (blue bin) located in the library parking lot.

MISCELLANEOUS CHARGES

      Audio Boxes $3.00
      Video Boxes $2.00
      Missing Barcode $1.00
      Missing Book Cover Full Charge
      Jacket/Pocket $1.00

There will be a Replacement Charge for Lost Materials. Library Staff will determine charges for Damaged books.

SUSPENSION OF LIBRARY PRIVILEGES

All library privileges (loan of materials or use of computers) are automatically suspended if any fines or overdue materials are not paid or returned as soon as the patron is notified either in person or by mail. NO EXCEPTIONS!

ILL (Inter-Library Loan)

Books, Videos and Audios that we do not own, may be requested from another library for a fee of 50¢ for each item.

Arrival time for loan items may vary.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY BOOK SALE

1st Saturday in May and November.
