Our City is comprised of four and one-half square miles, with a current
population of approximately 27,000.
The population is diverse and bicultural, with about 59 percent of the
people having Hispanic origins.
Development within the City consists mainly of residential, commercial
and light industrial buildings. As of January, 1995, the City had a
total of 8,434 housing units. The 1990 median home values and rents in
Santa Paula ($203,600 and $552) are less than in the County as a whole
($245,300 and $695).
